This is the best fall fishery on the West Coast. It is extremely popular. The Fishing starts in mid September and goes on and on. I fish the Ocean when it is manageable. When not, it’s famous Jaws or up in the Bay., Ghost hole, Bay City and Coast Guard Station are just a few of the famous places in the Tillamook Bay. The Salmon of this system run from 15lbs. to over 50 lbs. with 25 to 26 being average.

While not as good as the Spring Chinook of the Columbia, these fall fish are excellent table fair.

There is also a Spring Chinook run from late May into June.
